Domaine Jean Guiton

Guillaume Guiton is based in Bligny-lès-Beaune, the other side of the RN74 from Volnay. Things are very simple chez Guillaume as he just produces really lovely Pinots, with refined tannins and bright red fruits. He never overworks the wines, preferring to allow their natural character to shine through, which means there is great village definition throughout the range. Guillaume’s Bourgogne is one of Burgundy’s bargains, whilst he manages to get sophisticated tannins into both his Pernand Vergelesses and his Pommard – no mean feat.
