Château Pesquié

Based in Mormoiron, amongst the foothills of the Ventoux, whose snow-topped peak towers majestically over the surrounding region, the estate really benefits from the cooler climate of the appellation. The estate is planted mainly with Syrah and Grenache on soils that are surprisingly light, with plenty of small stones, gravel and sand. This lightness of soil and the greater altitude help provide a dynamic core that runs through all the wines and gives them wonderful drinkability. There is a small amount of white planted, too, which is picked early to maximise vibrancy.
